In the canteen, the multicoloured energy ripped the room asunder in seconds.

The Madras and his station exploded in a soundless mess of curry and metal.

Sable and Sandy clutched one another in fear, not having a chance to scream as the Rapture obliterated them.

Lord Tawn just stood still, ready to accept his fate like an old soldier.

Jet’s instinct was to make a futile gesture of fleeing, but she was shoved aside by Edj and Kread as they ran to the door. The last thing Jet saw before the Rapture hit her was the Adorable Illusion itself ripping apart and the remnants of the Madras being sucked out into the vacuum of space. Edj and Kread almost joined it, making futile attempts to hold on to the walls that were ultimately pointless and then they too were gone, their bodies ripped into bloody goo by shards of torn metal before vanishing into the blackness.
